MEET MIST - MINIMALLY INVASIVE SINUS TECHNIQUE
Dr. Mariotti is fellowship trained in Minimally Invasive Sinus Technique and has lectured worldwide on this surgical procedure.
The key factor in treating chronic sinusitis with surgery is minimizing mucosal trauma and not creating scar tissue. It also means shorter operations and quicker recovery.
It is in this area of sinus surgery that Dr. Mariotti is known for his expertise.
HOW IT WORKS
Surgery is done in the operating under general anesthesia. Endoscopic surgery is done through the patients nostrils using video telescopes — which mean not external incisions. Surgery takes usually takes an hour but can vary. Because Dr. Mariotti patients have less bleeding , after surgery there is no nasal packing. No black eyes or a swollen face. Ah relief. You’ll be able to breathe through your nose that day.
